University of South Florida Accreditation

Regionally Accredited College of Medicine

Since 1965, the University of South Florida has been regionally accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award degrees in the Baccalaureate, Master, Specialist and Doctoral levels, including the Doctor of Medicine. Regional accreditation is the highest standard for universities in the United States. The commission sets a standard of integrity for universities, taking into consideration the academic mission, strategy, resources, assessment process, teaching effectiveness, student learning, usefulness of curricula and community involvement. When a college earns regional accreditation, it is showing that it is dedicated to providing the highest quality education possible.
