As with all employment decisions, the requirements for a specific career may vary depending on any number of factors including, but not limited to, employer, location, level of education, and experience.
• Industry Growth: Job growth continues to be strong in the health informatics field, particularly for upper-level management positions. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics forecasts a 10% increase for Medical and Health Services Managers and an 18% increase for Computer and Information Systems Managers between 2019 and 2029, much faster than the average for all other occupations surveyed.
